This year, Amanda and I have chosen the Sea Breeze resort on the south coast of Barbados for our annual Caribbean yoga retreat. Complete with private pools, an expansive white sand beach, and three different restaurants on the property, there is no need to leave the hotel. Should you want to venture out, however, St. Lawrence Gap—known for its amazing restaurants, bars, and live music—is only a short cab ride away. Yoga classes will be held twice daily on an open-air porch with a view of the Caribbean Sea. Welcoming for all levels, these classes will follow the format of a vigorous vinyasa flow designed to strengthen and lengthen the body while calming the restive mind.
The retreat price includes daily yoga classes, an ocean view suite, and all meals and beverages (including alcohol). Airfare and airport transfer are not included. JetBlue goes direct from NYC to Barbados and the airport is a short twenty-minute cab ride from the resort.

Located on a 4,000 acre expanse of Nicaraguan jungle, nearly half of Morgan’s Rock is a government-protected reserve. The remainder of this breathtaking property is set aside for award-winning accommodations and low-impact agriculture, which provides the resort restaurant with the freshest produce, meat, and dairy.
Beyond the open air dining room and veranda, the serenity of the lodge’s pool is yours to enjoy as well as a mile long stretch of sandy beach. Gorgeous views abound here and from nearly every spot at Morgan’s Rock. Each bungalow has both a spacious indoor living area and outdoor patio that’s sure to please traveling yogis.
Led by Juan Gamboa and Kiley Holliday, classes will take place in the dedicated Yoga Pavilion, located on the resort's pristine Ocotal Beach, providing the ideal setting for yoga and meditative retreat experiences. Morning practice will follow the format of a vigorous vinyasa flow class, while the late afternoon will be reserved for a two hour workshop or themed class on some of the more challenging shapes in the yoga practice, such as inversions, arm balances, and backbends. This retreat is specifically designed to challenge the body, quiet the mind and deepen your practice. All levels welcome!
The daily program will cover 6-days of yoga combined with cultural experiences with time for relaxing by the pool or beach. The eco luxury program includes all meals, yoga classes and workshops, transportation to and from Managua Airport, and an excursion of your choice, such as surfing or zip line tour.
